Kantar Media Assumes Ownership of TGI in Turkey

Kantar Media today (August 9th) announced that it has assumed full ownership of the TGI (Target Group Index) service that operates in Turkey.

Kantar Media today (August 9th) announced that it has assumed full ownership of the TGI (Target Group Index) service that operates in Turkey.

TGI began life in Turkey in 2001, as a joint-venture business that was 50% owned by Kantar Media, to provide comparative data on products, brands, media, attitudes and demographics to the Turkish market.  TGI Turkey follows the methodology that is used or licensed by Kantar Media in over 60 countries worldwide.  The TGI Turkey service is now fully owned by Kantar Media, along with the TGI studies in GB, France, Germany and other European markets.

There will be no changes to the TGI service in Turkey, which will continue to be known as TGI Turkey.  In the same way that TGI operates as part of Kantar Media in other parts of the world, the TGI team in Turkey, headed by Funda Kadioğlu,  will also become part of Kantar Media, reporting to the central TGI office in Kantar Media London.
